WHAT IS THE LAPORTE COUNTY DRUG FREE PARTNERSHIP?

The LaPorte County Drug Free Partnership, formed in 1989, is one of the 15 counties in the Northwest Region of the Governor’s Commission for a Drug Free Indiana.  As a part of the statewide structure and designated as the Local Coordinating Council under the authority by law of the County Commission, members include concerned citizens and representatives from any county organizations interested in helping to solve problems caused by substance abuse / addiction in LaPorte County.  

OUR DEDICATED STAFF:

Sandy Gleim is Coordinator of the Drug Free Partnership, and Executive Director of Healthy Communities of LaPorte County. She also serves as Program Director for the Partnership’s new Drug Free Communities’ youth prevention grant. As Coordinator, Sandy offers a strong resume including community coalition building, health and tobacco control experience. She has served as a past chair of the Partnership, and has worked with the group since 2001.

 

MISSION STATEMENT           

To bring together individuals, organizations, and agencies both public and private, who seek to provide optimal resources for the combating of Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug abuse in LaPorte County, which includes specific focus on binge drinking, prescription drug abuse, marijuana usage, and youth prevention efforts.
